New All-in-One Service
Beginning in fall 2016, all three Glendale Public Library locations will feature the Bibliotheca SmartServe 1000 — a self-check machine that allows you to pay fines and fees with cash or credit. These new, user-friendly machines will allow for:
faster, more convenient check-out.
more privacy and greater security when paying fines.
shorter lines at the service desks.
more staffing at service desks.
You will still be able to pay your fine by credit or debit card, or by check, at all of the Adult Service Desks. Adding the Bibliotheca SmartServe 1000 will not result in any reduction in staff at the library, but will allow us to provide better and more efficient service to you. If you have any questions about the new Bibliotheca SmartServe machines, feel free to ask a member of our staff.
Glendale Seeks Input on Programs, Rental Fees at Library, Parks & Recreation Facilities
The Glendale Community Services Department has retained Norris Design to perform the Glendale Parks, Recreation and Library Fee Review to provide a comparative library, parks and recreation fee analysis. The study will evaluate public fees associated with special activities, sports programs, and class offerings, in addition to park, ramada, and room or facility rentals at city parks, recreation centers and libraries. Your opinion matters! Two public input meetings and an online and in-person questionnaire provide opportunities to learn more and offer feedback. Click here for details.
