Santa hat 9th Annual Santa’s Workshop
10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center, 5600 W. Union Hills Dr.
Kids of all ages are invited to this special event where they can purchase holiday presents (everything is $2) for their friends, family or even their pets. A store will be set up with a variety of items sure to make everyone happy. Santa’s elves will be on site to wrap their selection in holiday wrapping paper. Rose Annual Rose Pruning Event
8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 2, at the Sahuaro Ranch Park Historic Area, 9802 N. 59th Ave. - FREE
Experts from the Rose Society of Glendale will provide rose pruning demonstrations as well as seminars on planting, fertilizers and general rose care in the historic rose garden. Deadheader rose garden volunteers will prune more than 300 bushes throughout the day. Some tools available. Come help keep this award-winning garden blooming!

Tractor Annual Winter Antique Tractor Show

Enjoy tractor pulls, displays and more! $5; Ages 12 and under free.
Presented by Arizona Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Association.
This event is operated in conjunction with the Glendale Historical Society, a separate, non-profit organization.
Folk & Heritage Festival 2016 Glendale Folk & Heritage Festival
10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, March 19 & Sunday, March 20, at the Sahuaro Ranch Park Historic Area, 9802 N. 59th Ave. - FREE
Come out and enjoy over 250 performers featuring everything from folk and bluegrass music to cowboy poetry and storytelling. This award-winning event includes several performance venues and "jam sessions" locations for musicians. Highlights include historic house tours, demonstrations and hands-on workshops led by accomplished entertainers.
