star party40th Annual SAC Spring Public Star Party
6:30 pm - 9:30 pm Saturday, April 29th,
Thunderbird Conservation Park
The event will be sponsored by Glendale Parks and Recreation Department and hosted by the Saguaro Astronomy Club. Members of the Club will have telescopes large and small set up and available for public viewing from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm (sunset 7:10 pm). They will show a variety of astronomical objects during these hours, including the Moon, Planets, Stars, Galaxies, and many Deep Sky Wonders. Club volunteers will be on hand to answer questions you may have about telescopes, observing the sky, and astronomy in general. Weather permitting. The event is free. Please join us for a night under the stars!

Directions: To get to Thunderbird Park in Glendale, take Loop 101 to 67th Ave and go north 1 1/2 miles to Patrick Lane (just past Mountain Ridge High School). Turn right at the entrance to the park at the stoplight at Patrick Lane. Follow the signs and proceed to the parking lot at the observing field. See the map on our website www.saguaroastro.org.

Get ready for the sizzling summer with this family-friendly event at Westgate Entertainment District. You’ll find safety information and resources, businesses offering summer activities, entertainment and much more. Plus, kids will enjoy the fountain park water fun, and other activities abound at Westgate. Free!

Planetpalooza Phil Lieberman Day at Rose Lane Aquatics Center
June 3, 9 a.m. | Opening Day dedication & FREE Admission 

The city of Glendale will dedicate a plaque in honor of late former Councilmember Phil Lieberman. Members of the Glendale City Council will be in attendance to dedicate the new plaque, and the event will be followed by an early opening of the aquatic center and free admission!
