Glendale Green Living Series

Get inspired, informed and save on energy and water. The Glendale Conservation & Sustainable Living Office offers a Green Living series of free classes in the spring and fall. Saturday, February 4th | 10 a.m. to Noon
The Sonoran Desert is one of the most ecologically diverse deserts in the world with more than 2,000 native plant species. At one time, many of these plants were important sources of food and medicine for indigenous people. Get a whole new appreciation for desert-adapted plants by learning about which ones are good to eat.

An emerging trend in urban gardening is a return back to our desert roots through the use of native plants and sustainable landscape practices. If you build it (habitat) they (wildlife) will come!
