Drawn to Comics Free Comic Book Day @ the Library!
Saturday, May 5, 12-4 PM
Activities will take place inside the Velma Teague Branch, outside in Murphy Park, and at the Drawn to Comics store located across the street (5801 W. Glendale Ave.)

Drawn to Comics, downtown Glendale's source for comic books, gaming, and collectibles, is proud to team up with the Velma Teague Branch to bring you a brand-new Free Comic Book Day experience that will be their best one yet. Enjoy local artists, community family activities, cosplay, pop culture musicians (including the Driftwood Quintet, Minibosses and Dratini on the Rocks) and, of course, free comics galore! Don't miss the Glendale comic book event of the year! Click here for details.

The musical performances are part of the 2018 Driftwood Quintet Downtown Glendale Residency, funded by the City of Glendale’s Centerline Arts & Cultural Initiative.

Peacock Library Card Get a Peacock Library Card
September 2017 marked the 30th anniversary of Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when the American Library Association joins public libraries nationwide to highlight the value of a library card. In addition, the Main Library also celebrated its 30th birthday! To commemorate both of these momentous occasions, Glendale Public Library unveiled a card design featuring one of the many peacocks who roost on the grounds of the Main Library. If you'd like to replace your library card with this design, you can do so at any Glendale Public Library. Just bring your picture ID and $2 for the new card. If you don't have a library card yet, it's free for Maricopa County residents! Click here to find out more.
