Lunch Program -

12 p.m., Monday-Friday
Nutritious lunches available. For participants ages 60 and older, recommended contribution is $2.50; a charge of $3.50 for people under 60. YWCA lunch sign up 10-11:45 a.m., Monday through Friday. Menus available in the Palo Verde Room. This meal program is a collaboration funded by the YWCA of Maricopa County, Glendale Adult Center, Glendale Community Development Block Grant, the Area Agency on Aging, Region One and United Way.

IMPORTANT NOTES!

DATE CHANGE: Join us at the Glendale Adult Center for our Annual Holiday Luncheon with Bobby Freeman providing live music, on Wednesday, December 20. Door prizes will be sponsored by VIVABIEN and it’s rumored that Santa is scheduled to stop in too. Tickets are $6 member, $8 non-member and must be purchased in advance. No ticket sales the day of the event. For more information call 623-930-4321.

Other lunch changes:

No lunch service at the Adult Center December 11-15. The YWCA will be serving lunches at their main facility at 8561 N. 61st Avenue, Glendale 85302.

The YWCA is closed on Friday, December 22 so there will not be lunch served on December 22, 2017.

Coloring Club
2nd and 4th Mondays of the month
1 - 3 p.m.
Bring your favorite coloring books and colors and we can
get together for fun, coloring and friendship. (Some supplies
will be available initially.) Volunteer leader: Carol Castle

 

Open Computer Lab

The computer lab is open Monday through Thursday between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise posted for activities, such as computer classes. The Computer Lab is a membership space. Any individual may purchase a day pass to use the Computer Lab or other membership spaces.

A great beginning computer class for the novice. We will cover getting to know the computer and its components, understanding the importance of the operating system, learning how to work with word processing programs, the basics of internet and email and more.
