Celebrate Water in Arizona!

Header Image
There’s no greater treasure in the desert than water! That is why since 2008, Arizona has celebrated Water Awareness Month every April for the purpose of conserving one of our state’s most precious natural resources.Image

As the impacts of long-term drought continue to impact the southwest, the City of Glendale will continue promoting water awareness, conservation and efficiency. Glendale cares about the water we share! Water conservation in the past has helped us and we need to continue to conserve to ensure reliable water in the future! We can all do our part to save water by using water more efficiently at home, school and in the workplace.

Water-Wise Tips:

  • Look for leaks, including a running toilet or broken sprinkler heads. Fixing leaks can save up to hundreds of gallons of water a year.

  • Attend Glendale’s free Green Living classes. Hosted throughout the year, this series empowers the community to adopt water-wise practices and strategies in their homes and gardens. Find a full calendar of upcoming classes here.

  • Apply for water conservation rebates. Glendale water customers are eligible to receive a financial incentive for making water-efficient upgrades that are proven to save water. Learn more at www.glendaleaz.com/rebates. If you’re not a Glendale water customer, check with your water provider to learn about water rebates that may be available.
