The Glendale Main Library will become a powerhouse of song and music during the 25th annual Arizona Songwriters Gathering on Saturday, January 29, from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Whether it’s kick-starting your songwriting career or just kicking back and enjoying the music, there’s something for every age at this free festival. Over 50 live music performances will take place throughout the day, including an informal round-robin style jam session for musicians to share their tunes. The talent-packed lineup ends with a set by Arizona music legend
Walt Richardson.
In addition to live music, nationally recognized experts, including Michael Laskow, founder and CEO of independent A & R company
TAXI Music, will offer insight into the art of writing songs and breaking into the music business through free workshops and lectures.
Networking with songwriters, producers, and performers is the foundation of the
Arizona Songwriter’s Association. Its mission is to help songwriters learn more about writing songs from start to finish. They help connect songwriters with other writers, musicians, singers, recording engineers, producers, and other professionals essential to the industry.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase from the Diner on Wheels food truck throughout the day. The Arizona Songwriters Gathering is held in partnership with the Glendale Main Library and the Arizona Songwriters Association. Sound support and sponsorship are offered by Barnett Productions.
