As Maricopa County continues to grow, traffic congestion and air pollution problems are on the rise. As a responsible member of the community, we encourage all employees to join us in improving the quality of life for everyone. One way to achieve this is by sharing the ride to work whenever possible, whether by carpooling, vanpooling, taking the bus or light rail, biking, driving a hybrid vehicle, or even walking to work.
At our organization, we are proud to be part of the Maricopa County Trip Reduction Program (TRP), which aims to reduce the number of drive-alone trips to work. To make commuting less stressful and more convenient, we offer a range of incentives and subsidies to encourage alternative modes of transportation, including:
- An information center in the employee lounge
- A guaranteed ride home for any employee who uses an alternative mode to get to work in case of illness, family emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Monthly prize drawings for all Alternative Mode Users (AMU) entries
- Preferred parking for carpool/vanpool
- Transit subsidy
- Incentives for employees who use an alternative mode on High Pollution Advisory days (HPA)
- Secured bicycle parking
- Bicycle subsidy
To take advantage of these benefits, simply register as an Alternative Mode User (AMU) on ShareTheRide.com by clicking here. For more information or to determine your best commute alternative, please contact Susan Angotti - Transit at 623-930-3508 or [email protected].
Thank you for joining us in our efforts to clean the air in the Valley and reduce traffic congestion. Together, we can make a difference!
