Volunteer Qualification Information
The city of Glendale will subsidize the cost of bus/light rail transportation* for volunteers who qualify. To qualify for the Platinum Pass you must be contributing 16 hours per month. The pass will be issued 30 days after your commencement date. The Platinum Pass works like a credit card. The volunteer rides the bus/light rail as often as they like with no charge.
* At this time the city of Glendale is subsidizing 100 percent cost of volunteer trips. However, this is subject to change at any time. You will be notified ahead of time if this occurs. You are the sole user of the Platinum Pass Card.
Lost/Stolen/Deactivation of Card
If the Platinum Pass is lost, stolen, or a volunteer separates from the city, you may download a form for pass deactivation (found on the intranet). If the volunteer separates from the city, or wants to cancel the pass, the pass should be returned to the Public Works Transportation Office. Failure of notification or completing the proper form will result in passholder being held responsible for any charges made against that pass. Notification of lost/stolen/deactivation of pass by phone is not acceptable. Requesting a lost/stolen/deactivation form is acceptable by phone. You can call 623-930-3508 for a deactivation form.
