The City of Glendale is streamlining the essential processes tied to permitting, licensing, inspections, and code compliance into SmartGov; a single web-based system. This hosted solution will improve and enhance business practices in eight departments: Business Licensing, Building Safety, Planning, Code Compliance, Engineering, Economic Development, Fire, and Water Services. SmartGov provides a public portal to facilitate streamlined service delivery with Glendale’s customers; increasing efficiencies and engagement.
The City of Glendale will use this technology to transition from its current paper-based plan review workflow, to an electronic based review process – specifically using Bluebeam™. SmartGov will act both as a repository for these electronic review files as well as the submittal point for customers. SmartGov will improve the customer service experience and optimize city process and service delivery performance through technology.
