One of the main functions of a timekeeper is to ensure that all time entered on timesheets is approved by the timesheet deadline. Unapproved timesheets result in employees not having accurate leave balances. It is critical to monitor timesheets each pay period and ensure that supervisors are approving all time by the deadline. If a particular supervisor is out, any other supervisor in the department/division can also approve the time.
To monitor timesheet approvals use the Unapproved Time Card Report in Executime.
Reminder: The deadline for timesheet approvals is Monday at 10:30am after the end of the pay period. This date is typically moved up during weeks with a holiday.
Use this template to email supervisors to remind them of the timesheet approval deadlines. Again, it’s important to continually monitor and follow-up with supervisors as necessary to ensure all time has been approved by the deadline each pay period.
