How to Start or Stop Utility Services 

Please review the list of requirements below:

Services:

  • Water
  • Sewer/Wastewater

  • Irrigation (select areas)

Start Service:

To place service in your name, we will need to set up a new account. This can be done over the phone or in person. A deposit is required at the time of set-up. Please follow up with the City of Glendale Customer Service Department directly for completion. After reviewing the the required information needed, please call us to complete and pay the deposit. An administrative fee will be charged on your first bill.  You can find the fee schedule on the bottom of our website by clicking here.  

Deposits can be paid with a credit/debit card if paying over the phone.

Set-Up Requirements for Homeowners:

  • $200 deposit
  • Escrow # or File #
  • Title company name and phone number
  • Social security number
  • Photo ID Number (i.e., a United States driver’s license number or passport ID number)
  • Homeowner name as it appears on the deed / county records
  • Service Address
  • Mailing Address
  • Primary phone number
  • Alternate phone number (if applicable)
  • Email Address

Set-Up Requirements for Renters/Tenants:

  • $200 deposit
  • Signed lease/rental agreement
  • Social security number
  • Photo ID Number (i.e., a United States driver’s license number or passport ID number)
  • Names of all Tenants as they appear on the signed lease agreement
  • Service Address
  • Mailing Address
  • Primary phone number
  • Alternate phone number (if applicable)
  • Email Address

Options to Submit signed lease agreement:

  • Email the signed lease agreement to [email protected] (please send a PDF version)
  • Fax the signed lease agreement to 623-930-2186
  • Present the signed lease and application in person at City Hall and make payment in person:

Landlords - FYI:

A person who owns residential unit(s) for rent in the city of Glendale must obtain a Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) license from and remit the appropriate tax to the Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR). Landlords must also be registered with Maricopa County.

Stop Service:

To stop service, you must contact Customer Service at 623-930-3190. Please allow at least one business day notice.
