This league emphasizes physical fitness, equal participation and social and skill development. Games start on March 3rd and will be held on Saturdays, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center, 5600 W. Union Hills Dr. Players must sign up for the division of play in which they are eligible.

Fees: $55 (resident) or $75 (non-resident).  The fee includes a team shirt and up to 8 games.

Practices can begin the week of Feb. 12 if enough parents and volunteers show an interest in coaching.  The practice location, day and time is determined by the volunteer coach.  Most practices are any day, Monday through Thursday, 5:30 to 8:30pm and no more than twice a week.

Register Kids Early for Summer Ball, Get Free Spring Training Tickets!

Play ball! It’s time to register for Glendale’s summer youth t-ball/baseball/slow pitch softball leagues!

Registration is Feb. 26 - April 13.  Participants registered by March 9th will receive two free tickets to a spring training game at Camelback Ranch!

Games will begin the week of June 4 at Sahuaro Ranch Sports Complex and are played Monday-Thursday evenings.

All youth divisions are coed, for children ages 4 through 12 years old. Cost for the league is $55 for Glendale residents and $75 for non-residents ($10 late fee added after April 6). Fees include a team shirt, hat and up to 12 games.

The festive opening and closing ceremonies will be held at the Camelback Ranch spring training complex.

register buttonTeen Coed Softball League
Teens, stay active this summer with our Teen Coed Summer evening fun! This league plays by the Glendale Adult Softball Coed Rules. Sign-up as an individual, partial team or full team. Teams consist of a minimum of 12 and maximum of 16 players on a roster (with 50% of players on the field consisting of each gender). All teams must have an adult to represent them as team manager. If you are interested in coaching, please indicate it when you register your child.

Become a Coach or a Sponsor

Be a Volunteer Coach!

...in our award-winning youth sports program! Indicate your desire to coach when signing up your child. (Note: This does not guarantee a coaching position). Those who do not have children in the league are also welcome to apply! Click here to download an application.

Qualifications:

  1. Be at least 18 years old.
  2. Complete a coach’s application and submit it to the Parks & Recreation office, 5970 W. Brown St., by current season registration deadline.
  3. Be fingerprinted and have an FBI background check.
  4. Attend a mandatory coaches meeting.
  5. Attend the Youth Sports Coaches training class or online NYSCA program.
  6. Adhere to the City of Glendale’s coach’s Code of Conduct and department philosophy, “The outcome of the child is more important than the outcome of the game.”
