What is CAP?
The Compliance Assistance Program is a payment program offered by the Glendale City Court to help you reduce and resolve defaulted (past due) and collection cases. Click here to view and print the CAP Brochure in both English/Spanish
How does CAP work?
- Click here to fill out and print a financial statement to bring with you to Court. A member of the financial enforcement staff will review the information and go over your down payment and monthly payments.
- Pay the down payment called the "Pay Today" amount.
- Sign the payment plan and make affordable monthly payments until the amount is paid in full.
The entire process takes approximately 30 minutes in most cases.
What if I don't have the money to pay the "Pay Today" amount immediately?
You may begin CAP as soon as you can pay the "Pay Today" amount. Please note that the "Pay Today" amount quoted to you may change if you get new charges or if additional fees required by law are added during processing of pending charges.
Do I have to appear in-person at the Glendale City Court to participate in the program?
If you live in Maricopa County, you must appear in-person at the Court to participate in the program. If you require special ADA accommodations in the Court building, please call 623-930-2400 for TTY use: 623-930-2197.
What do I have to do to get my driver license reinstated?
You must contact the Arizona MVD to get the status of your driver license. If you are participating in CAP, outstanding fines previously owed to the Glendale City Court will no longer be the basis of a license suspension. However, if MVD indicates there are other reasons for a license suspension, you will need to work with them to resolve any other issues.
What happens if I don't make the payments on the payment agreement?
Failure to maintain a payment plan can result in the charges being defaulted again (non-compliant) and a suspension of your driving privileges may occur. We do encourage everyone to continue communicating with the Court and working with our financial enforcement staff to avoid such issues.
What should I bring?
You should be prepared to pay the "Pay Today" amount with cash, check or credit card. The Glendale City Court requires lawful photo identification for check and credit card payments.
