Linking Policy

From City of Glendale Web sites to non-City of Glendale Web sites:

Links from official city of Glendale (“Glendale”) Web sites are decided on an individual case basis by the city’s Marketing/Communications Department. Decisions to link are made after assessing relevance to the city’s mission. Links may not be used to endorse/promote a commercial product or service or provide preferential treatment.

Any link used on this or any other Glendale Web page is provided for the use and convenience of the visitor. The appearance of a link does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation or certification by Glendale.

To Glendale Web sites from non-Glendale Web sites:

Glendale does not object to links to Glendale Web sites from third-party sites. However, there are certain conditions that must be followed:

  • Unless we enter into a specific written agreement with you, you may not use any of Glendale’s logos, designs, slogans, images, trademarks or service marks in or with your links, except that you may link to a Glendale site using the plain text name of that site or the plain text name of City of Glendale.
  • Do not present the link to a Glendale site in any way that suggests Glendale has any relationship or affiliation with your site or endorses, sponsors or recommends the information, products or services on your site. Do not use any of Glendale’s names, logos, designs, slogans, trademarks or service marks in any advertising, publicity, promotion, or in any other commercial manner without the prior express written permission for a particular use from Glendale. Do not incorporate any content from this site into your site (e.g., by in-lining or framing).
