Glendale, Ariz. – Tesla Inc. is building a 30,000 square-foot service center in Glendale’s Westgate Entertainment District.
The center will be located at the corner of 93rd and Glendale Avenues. This expansion will support Tesla’s growing fleet. If a vehicle cannot be serviced via Mobile Service, this location will provide a state-of-the-art service center for West Valley customers.
Prior to customers arriving with their vehicles, Tesla provides remote diagnostics, pre-diagnose repairs and orders parts to enhance the customer service experience. Additional services provided in the free-standing building will include retail space and showroom with model vehicles for viewing.
“Welcoming Tesla to the West Valley is yet another reflection of the buying power our residents have,” said Glendale City Manager Kevin Phelps. “Having this facility in this particular area perfectly complements the recently-opened luxury dealerships in the Arrowhead Corridor of Glendale. Together, they all provide a better quality of life for both residents and visitors.”
Tesla vehicles require no traditional oil changes, fuel filters, spark plug replacements or emission checks. Thanks to emerging electric vehicle technology, even brake pad replacements are rare because regenerative braking returns energy to the battery, significantly reducing wear on brakes.
The expected completion date for the facility is sometime in the second quarter of 2021. Once open, hours of operation will be Monday-Saturday 10:00 am – 7:00 pm; Sunday 12:00 pm. – 6:00 pm (the hours of operation shall remain flexible to meet market demands.) Glendale will be home to the company’s fourth service center in Arizona with existing locations in Scottsdale, Tempe and Tucson.
