City Volunteer Programs

You Can Make a Difference!

The City of Glendale encourages citizen participation in their government through volunteerism. Many department services are enhanced because of the generosity of time given by citizens of Glendale and citizens of surrounding areas. Volunteers enable the City to stretch tax dollars and improve the community in many ways.

The City of Glendale supports three volunteer programs:

  • Glendale Boards and Commissions
Citizen involvement and input is essential to the success of local government. The city encourages you to consider submitting an application for appointment to one of Glendale’s 19 boards and commissions. Click here for more information on current vacancies!

  • Glendale Community Volunteer Program
The Community Volunteer Program engages citizens for the overall benefit of Glendale. Designed primarily for one-time projects and large groups, this program seeks to improve the quality of life for Glendale residents and volunteers through valuable public service projects.
