Community Revitalization Housing Rehabilitation Programs

Thanks to the Community Planning and Development (CPD) funding provided by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the City of Glendale offers several programs designed to help low to moderate income Glendale homeowners improve their homes. Several of the services are provided directly by the city, while others are offered through non-profit agencies.

Glendale Emergency Home Repair Program
The Glendale Emergency Home Repair Program provides emergency home repair services (repairs that are required to maintain the safety and habitability of the household) to qualified Glendale homeowners. 

Home Accessibility Program
As part of the Glendale Emergency Home Repair Program, EHR may also provide structural and accessibility modifications to homes occupied by homeowners with disabilities. Types of accessibility modifications allowed are wheelchair ramps, widened doorways, grab bars, and modifications to showers, sinks, toilets and others.  

Home Rehabilitation Programs

  • Roof Repair/Replacement Program
    This program repairs or replaces deteriorated roofs for qualified homeowners. The types of repairs allowed are; deteriorated fascia, shingles, soffits, sheathing, shingle mold and other related roof components. This program is provided as a grant to the homeowner.
  • Exterior Rehabilitation Program
    The Exterior Program offers exterior painting of the home for qualified homeowners. To qualify for this program, you must have owned and lived in your home for at least one year and meet the general eligibility guidelines of the program. Subject to available funds, front yard drought resistant landscaping may also be included. This program is provided as a grant to the homeowner.



The City of Glendale provides accessibility to information, participation, services, and employment for handicapped persons. City facilities are wheelchair accessible. Please contact the Community Revitalization Division at (623) 930- 3670 at least three (3) working days prior to a meeting for special accommodations.
