LIHTC Gap Financing Opportunities

Welcome to the City of Glendale's LIHTC Financing Opportunity Page

The City of Glendale is dedicated to expanding affordable housing opportunities and fostering partnerships with private and nonprofit developers. Through collaboration, we aim to increase the number of affordable housing units in our community by supporting developers participating in the Arizona Department of Housing’s (ADOH) Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs.

To achieve this goal, the City has established a streamlined process to award local gap financing for proposed LIHTC projects. Applications to receive local gap financing are generally accepted on a rolling basis and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. We welcome both 4% and 9% LIHTC projects, prioritizing those that are complete, well-prepared, and demonstrate a capacity for timely execution. Properties must be located within the Corporate Limits of the City of Glendale.
