GLENDALE GLITTERS RETURNS WITH A TWO-NIGHT KICK-OFF EVENT TO MARK THE BEGINNING OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON
City tree lighting, carolers, vendors and Santa Claus’ visit are highlights of cherished holiday lights displays that are ideal for building memories
The city of Glendale will spread warmth and good cheer as the magical holiday season begins when it kicks off the beloved hometown tradition – Glendale Glitters – during a tree lighting and other festive, kick-off events November 29-30, 2024.
The city of Glendale’s Glendale Glitters Kick-Off Event will promote this exquisite arrangement of lights that has been a gift to the community for more than 30 years. The tree lighting will kindle the nostalgic merriment of this popular event on Friday, November 29, 2024. Residents and visitors can enjoy the sweet sounds of carolers performing holiday songs, indulge in vendors’ arts and crafts that are perfect for presents and visit with the season’s legendary gift giver, Santa Claus, on November 29-30, 2024. Folks can stroll through downtown Glendale both nights to soak in the picture-perfect holiday lights displays and beautiful interactive features of Glendale Glitters. The lights will remain on display until Jan. 1.
When: The official tree lighting ceremony will take place at 5:45 p.m. on November 29 while the Kick-Off Event will bring sweet treats to Glendale from 5 to 10 p.m. November 29-30.
Where: The tree lighting will be held in front of the Glendale Civic Center at 5750 W. Glenn Drive. Free parking is available for all the festivities in the downtown parking garage at 5835 W. Palmaire Ave. and on surface streets.
