Utility (formally known as non-City utility) permits: In order to ensure public safety and mobility, activities in the public rights-of-way (ROW) must be permitted per Glendale City Code. A permit is used to grant permission to work in the public ROW under certain conditions, standards, fees, and regulations.
The Engineering team is pleased to announce that we are transitioning to an online form for submission of Right-of-Way Permit Applications. This new form is designed to save users time and money, and allow the department to respond quickly and more effectively to developments throughout the city.
Users can access the form here: Permit Application for Utility Construction in Public Right of Way (smartsheet.com). Please use this form to provide pertinent details about the project and to upload plan drawings. When the application has been approved, engineering staff will email you the approved permit.
If you have any questions about this new process, please contact the Engineering team at 623-930-3630.
Thank you!
