The City of Glendale has lifted capacity limits at the Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center as well as outdoor events and sports fields.  Social distancing requirements and face coverings are currently optional.

Updated Dates and Times:

Foothills Recreation and Aquatic Center

Recreation / Open / Family Swim is closed until Summer 2022.

As we look towards the future, we have identified some immediate construction projects and renovations that are needed for the play and lap pools that we believe will improve the facility as well as enhance the recreation experience. These projects, pending an award of the contract, will require the temporary suspension of all programs and activities in the pool area. The project entails draining both pools, removing the existing surface, and then installing a new surface. We will also be installing new LED lighting in the pools. To complete this work, we therefore, must close this area during this time. The final day of the aquatic programs will be Friday, September 17th. If all construction goes as scheduled, the Aquatics Center will re-open on February 1, 2022.

We do apologize for this disruption in the aquatics program schedule. However, we are excited to have the opportunity to update our facility with these renovations for the community enjoyment. Thank you in advance for your patience while we complete this work on your pools.
